Scouts SA Chief Commissioner,

Harry Long reappointed to 2021.

“I am pleased to announce that Scouts SA have offered Harry Long a second, three-year term as our 18th Chief Commissioner. We are delighted that Harry has accepted”, said Graham Coates, President, Scouts SA. “We offer our congratulations and appreciation to Harry and look forward to him piloting us through AJ2019, (the 25th Australian Jamboree) and beyond. I am sure that many members will echo this sentiment.”

Harry Long, Chief Commissioner Scouts SA said “I am proud to be able to serve such a wonderful organisation in this role. Thank you for your continued enthusiasm and commitment in the development of young South Australians.”

This reappointment follows a rigorous and successful three-part review of our Chief Commissioner as a part of the natural Adults in Scouting process to determine if a second term of office would be offered. Because of the lead time required to recruit a new Chief Commissioner, this process begins after the second year of service.

Response to Harry’s re-appointment has been extremely positive.

Please take the opportunity to also congratulate Harry when you next see him.
