YOU + LEAD will continue in 2018 bigger and better.
It’s a new style of leadership program for Scouts, Venturers and Rover Scouts. YOU is to be held in each State as a two-day/two-night residential camp. This camp will consist of team activities designed to get participants engaging in personal development activities, communication styles and practices. This will be the beginning of a journey in self-discovery for each individual.
LEAD is a 5 day course where you can reflect on the personal development work of the YOU program and for participants to then understand how their personal skills and abilities can be used to successfully lead others and achieve success. The week will challenge participants, mentally and emotionally. There will be opportunities for discovery about self through new experiences, challenges and activities.
Once you complete the You and Lead components, you’ll join the alumni. This is an opportunity to put your skills into practice by collaboratively taking on a variety of community roles and responsibilities. Applicants apply to participate in the You program and then, if accepted, attend the Lead course and then Alumni.
In 2018, You events will be taking place in QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, WA. Successful participants can then apply for the Lead course to be held in Adelaide during October.
