Policies and Procedures
The South Australian community demands accountability and care in the way that all ‘service agencies’ (private and public) conduct their business and deliver their services. As a not-for-profit, volunteer based organisation which delivers non-formal education programs to young people, we are committed to maintaining the safest environment possible for all volunteers, staff and Youth Members.
For over 100 years, Scouting has been an important and successful part of the South Australian community. We provide non-formal educational and recreational programs which help young people to develop emotionally, spiritually and physically. Scouts Australia (SA Branch) has always placed a high emphasis on its ability to deliver these programs in practical and safe environments. To this end Scouts SA have developed a comprehensive risk management system which provides clear direction for the safe conduct of all our operations and activities. Some of the policies, or summaries thereof, within that system are available below.
Leaders may access all of our policies through MYSCOUT (Access available through your Leader). Questions on any of our policies may be directed to Scout Headquarters
