WHS Policy and Framework

WHS Policy update August 2018

Work Health and Safety Policy

Scouts SA has had an effective WHS Policy and Framework for many years, the current iteration has been in place since 2015.

Following recommendations from our WHS Management System Auditors the WHS Policy and Framework has been separated into two documents to provide greater separation between policy objectives and guidance, bringing about a direct alignment with the Australian Standard AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

The policy directly expresses WHS objectives and responsibilities, providing the basis for Scouts SA’s WHS strategy.

Work Health and Safety Framework
The Work Health and Safety Framework has been established as a separate document providing broad guidance in support of the Work Health and Safety Policy. It may be considered as a ‘ready reckoner’ for Work Health and Safety Management within Scouts SA. It is designed as a less formal, easy to use, document that is supported hierarchically by specific documented procedures.
